Quatuor Confluence wins 11th Trondheim International Chamber Music Competition

The final rounds of the 11th TICC competition was held Saturday 25th of September in the Free Masons Hall. The French Quatuor Confluence won the competition with festival engagements and 15 000 €.

Animato Quartet (NO/NE), NOVO Quartet (DK/PL) and Quatuor Confluence (FR) played the Final round of Trondheim International Chamber Music Competition (TICC) 2021.

The Final was held Saturday September 25th in the Free Mason Hall in Trondheim. Chairman of the jury for the sixth time, Levon Chilingirian, presented the result at 20.00 25th of September.

The competition focuses especially on advanced student ensembles and young professional ensembles.

Since its inauguration in 2000 the Trondheim Competition has earned an international reputation, which is reflected in the growing number of international applicants each year. Previous winners includes ensembles such as The Danish String Quartet, Van Kuijk Quartet and Trio con brio Copenhagen.

Prizes:

1st prize: 15 000 EURO + festival engagements: Quatuor Confluence (FR)
2nd prize: 10 000 EURO: NOVO Quartet (DK/PL)
3rd prize: 5 000 EURO: Animato Quartet (NO/NL)
Commission Prize 500,-EURO: Quatuor Confluence
Audience Prize: Quatuor Confluence 
Jury Special Prize: Animato Quartet and NOVO Quartet
Idagio NextGen Award: Quatuor Confluence
